Position Overview

GOR Group is seeking a Turnover & Readiness Lead to support one of our key clients on a high-profile project in Haskell, TX.

This individual will play a critical onsite role in ensuring turnover readiness during construction and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing documentation, tracking progress, and coordinating across multiple teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.

Candidates with prior experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise-level data center projects, particularly within highly process-driven environments, are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Turnover & Readiness Coordination

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for turnover readiness activities
  • Represent the client's operational readiness interests throughout construction and commissioning
  • Participate in project meetings, field walks, and pull-planning sessions
  • Coordinate closely with construction, commissioning, and vendor teams
  • Identify and mitigate turnover risks, acting as the central driver (quarterback) for readiness efforts

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain and manage critical project trackers, including:
    • FR Checklist
    • Turnover risk log
    • Early turn-up milestone schedule tracker
  • Develop early turn-up micro-schedules specific to project needs
  • Provide daily progress reports and weekly readiness updates to stakeholders

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Oversee asset tagging register and data collection logs
  • Maintain:
    • Equipment inventory lists
    • Warranty documentation
    • Vendor training material indexes
  • Compile critical spare parts lists
  • Manage equipment submittal review logs

Turnover Closeout

  • Assemble and deliver a comprehensive turnover documentation package
  • Prepare a final turnover readiness summary memo outlining project status and deliverables

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, or turnover activities
  • Proven ability to manage detailed documentation and tracking systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment

Preferred

  • Experience with FR Checklists or similar turnover processes
  • Familiarity with construction and commissioning workflows
  • Background supporting large-scale industrial, data center, or complex infrastructure projects
